Iota Station Privacy Policy

Effective October 24, 2026. Published by Iota LLC.

The short version

Iota Station is an idle space-station game. Its optional AI runs on your phone, not on our servers. There are no accounts and no sign in. Your game is saved only on your phone. Iota LLC does not run any servers for the game and does not receive your game data.

The game can show rewarded ads through Google AdMob for extra energy or a quick revive. Those services are run by Google and are explained below. This build uses a stand-in ad screen with no ad network; real AdMob ads are planned.

The AI runs on your phone

Iota Station can use Gemma 3 1B, a small AI model made by Google, to write extra flavor text such as crew journals, away reports, mission debriefs, station bulletins and short guidance. The model runs entirely on your phone. What it reads (game facts such as citizen names, room levels, task results and suggested next steps) never leaves your phone. You do not type anything to the AI, and nothing it writes is sent anywhere, unless you choose to email us a report about it (see below).

The AI is optional. You can play with only the handwritten text, and you can turn the AI off or delete the model file in Settings at any time.

Sharing the model with other Iota titles

The same Gemma 3 1B file is used by other Iota LLC games (for example Iota Tales). If another Iota title on your phone already has a verified copy, Iota Station can copy that file into its own private storage so you do not download it again. That copy stays on your phone. No game data is shared between apps beyond the model file itself, and only when both apps are signed by Iota LLC.

Reporting AI text

Every line the AI wrote has a Report button. When you report something, the game hides that text right away and shows the handwritten version instead. The report is saved on your phone and contains only the reported words, the reason you picked, where it appeared, the app version and the time. It contains no personal information.

The game then opens your own email app with the report filled in, addressed to Iota LLC. Nothing is sent unless you press Send in your email app. If you send it, we receive your email address and whatever is in the email, and we use it only to review the report and improve the game's AI text checks. If your phone has no email app, the game shows the report as text you can copy. You can ask us to delete a report you sent by emailing us.

Downloading the AI model

If you do not already have the model from another Iota title, it is a one-time download of about 720 MB that you start yourself in Settings. The file comes from Hugging Face (huggingface.co and its file delivery servers). Like any website, Hugging Face receives a normal web request, which includes your IP address and the name of the app. No game data is sent. Hugging Face handles that request under its own privacy policy. After the download, the AI works offline.

What stays on your phone

All of this is kept in the app's private storage. None of it is sent to Iota LLC. Cloud backup is turned off for this app. If you use Android's phone-to-phone transfer, your saves may be copied to your new phone, but the AI model is not. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage in Android settings, deletes all of it.

No account, no tracking by us

There is no account, no sign in, and no profile. Iota LLC does not use analytics or tracking tools in Iota Station, and we do not sell your data.

Ads (Google AdMob)

You can choose to watch a short rewarded ad for extra energy or to revive a citizen quickly. Ads are served by Google AdMob. When an ad is requested or shown, the Google Mobile Ads SDK in the app collects and shares data with Google for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention, including:

This data goes to Google, not to Iota LLC. Google uses it under the Google Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy). You can learn how Google uses information from apps that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ads personalization, in your phone's Android settings under Privacy, Ads. Where the law requires it, the app will ask for your consent before showing personalized ads.

Test and early builds of the game use a placeholder screen instead of real ads. The placeholder does not contact any ad network.

Purchases (Google Play)

This version of Iota Station has no in-app purchases. If a purchase is added later, it will go through Google Play Billing, Google will handle payment details, and this policy will be updated.

Children

Iota Station is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will help remove it.

Your choices

Because Iota LLC does not receive your game data, there is nothing for us to look up or delete on our side, except reports you chose to email us, which we delete on request. For data held by Google or Hugging Face, see their privacy policies.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the game handles data, for example when real ads go live, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. Big changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
